Blue Skies and Rainy Days

A friend of mine asked me to describe myself not so long ago....
This was what i messaged her...

"I like rainy days, i watch the rain fall, and I also look like looking up at the blue skies overhead"

As irrelevant as that sounds, i think it really describes me well....
essentially, thats what i am like most days...

Blue Skies

Everyday, every single day when i go to work, when i am on the bus stop or when i am travelling on the bus I look up and marvel at the sky overhead.
While most other people would be smsing, (is that even a real word?) watching tv or looking at other people, I would rather look out the window, catching glimpses of the sky between the tall buildings...
The blue skies above are so flawless, lightly covered with clouds...
Somehow it just triggers thoughts of happiness in me...

Rainy Days

When it rains, especially if its heavy, I just like to stand by the window and watch the rain wash down. It just has such a therapeutic effect.
It's just like the rain washes away all your stress , doubts, anger, frustrations...
And after all the rain is over, all these negative emotions are just gone.

Does that make things clearer ?
you should try it.. :)
but i am not sure if it'll have the same effect ...

Something about love i found and want to share...

A little gem i found...

----------------------------
From Loretta Woodward:
Between adolesence and old age, romantic love seems to evlove through three stages:

I love your beauty.
I love your words.
I love your deeds.

Some people reach the third stage effortlessly and at a relatively early age, while others remain mired in the first stage long after they have lost the ability to attract on the same level.

Something to think about......

"what type of girl do you like...? "

"what type of girl do you like...? "

I was asked that today..
not once but twice...

once by another secretary at work (for those wondering about "another" see previous post)
and also by a net friend of mine....

they are serious about it...
they asked about the type of character, figure, appearence etc...
so i was thinking...
what kind of girl do i go for....

I thought about it and came to a simple conclusion....
It doesn't matter...
or rather i don't know really...
how would i know what my future partner looks like...

I mean sure i've got preferences.. but then, its more of having the feeling towards the person rather then how the person looks. Correct ?
And don't all of our looks change with time ? we all grow old and lose our looks...
so does a particular look really matter ?

I believe the sentence below says it all...

"Humans are just spiral strands of DNA (Everything else is just decoration)"
Quoted from the English translated version of the japanese comic book "Masamune Shirow's Orion" Book 1, Page 13

BUT.....(yes there is a but...)
It difficult to ignore appearance...
superficial ? Perhaps...
but you got to admit, all of us are attracted to things that we find attractive...
can you really live with someone you find repulsive ?
I don't think so...

In summary, I end with this statement.
A friend of mine CP said this about his prospective partner:
"All I want is someone who i can wake up to and feel comfortable with for the rest of my life"

There is wisdom in his words yea ?
CP, you're the man...
